About Roger E. Stumacher, MD.

Dr. Stumacher is proud to be a lifelong resident of the Philadelphia area. After graduating from Lower Merion High School and the University of Pennsylvania, he followed his father’s footsteps into medicine. Board certified in Internal Medicine since 2006, Dr. Stumacher has built his practice on the belief that the most important role that he as a physician can play is as an educator to and an advocate for his patients. It is for that reason that he chose to become an internist, and with that motivation that he has dedicated himself to the promotion of both the physical and emotional well‐being of his patients since his earliest days in medicine.

Dr. Stumacher believes that the best primary care is practiced not simply by being an air‐traffic controller who triages and directs patients to all corners of the medical system, but rather by taking pride in being the quarterback for every patient. The complexities of the human body are nearly matched by the complexities of the medical system, and it is only by taking ownership of the issues at hand and forging a trusting relationship based on communication that both a patient and their primary care doctor can effectively navigate both.

It is with this in mind that Dr. Stumacher made the decision to transition his practice to a Direct Primary Care model, so that he would be able to continue to give of himself in full to his patients and deliver empathetic and knowledgeable care in a manner commensurate with what every patient deserves. He looks forward to meeting you and creating a relationship that is lasting, meaningful and productive.
